This weekend was a pretty good one. I did some useful things, IMO. On friday evening I installed Ubuntu - Hoary, the next release of ubuntu to be released sometime next month. I got the hoary DVD with the current issue of Linux-magazine. Once Installed, I found that the GNOME was as good as it is. There's a new places menu in the Menubar. Ubuntu comes with a clean desktop, with no icons at all. It's really good, I think.
Then with the dial-up I decided to update hoary. There were about 200MB worth of updates to be downloaded. I downloaded some friday night & the rest on saturday night/ sunday daytime. I'm just waiting for my BSNL dataone connection, then atleast I wud have the freedom of broadband.
Then I'm making some progress with the burn library I'm creating in C#, the probs is time. If only I can get a week or 2 of freetime, I can concentrate on that.
