I’m really looking forward to play POP, having finished the previous 2 games I have been waiting to get my hands on this. I mainly got ROK because it has a Co-op mode, My sis & I like playing together in co-op….. we really enjoyed Baldurs Gate 1 & 2 by playing 2 player co-op……. I should get Nithya interested in PS2 so v 2 can have some fun…. :-)

us in US

Seeing Nirai's Post, inspired me to blog something.....

Nirai & Vijay are good for nothing, stupid & useless who deserve each other.... :-) They both are my good friends I got during our stint in BIST. They married on a very important day, April 30 was the day Nithya & I met each other for the first time.

Nithya & I have been having fun here...... but we are looking forward to go back to sweet chennai in a couple of weeks. We rented a car & drove to smokys last weekend. It's a mountain like our ooty, kodai, munnar et all but not as good as our places...... But we some how are attached to this place.....

I have started playing tennis these days, so you people start watching Wimbledon from next year....... Because I'll also be watching, thats how good I really am.......

Hope I blog as regularly as I used to.......

Swift & Me

This is my first car, a special one that too.....

Weekend

This weekend was a bit lively. On Saturday, Anand's team finished a conversion successfully & he was like child inside a toy factory. He was bugging me for some books to read & when I think now, he might even have asked me to dance with him. He's really hopeless, may be not as much as I really am.

Sunday was fun, we played cricket with few others in the Tennis court inside our apartment complex. Anand & me were a team and we decided to be sporty & let the other team win all the matches. We wanted them to feel important & learn the winning ways.

This is Anand & me

Then there was Narasimha who bowled some real good spin (he said so).

This is me (again) when I coached some great guys.

Engagement

Suddenly for no reason, I'm thinking about my Engagement day. It was a very good & enjoyable day. Infact better than my marriage day, 'cause during marriage there's lots of ceremonies & it's real tiresome. But Engagement was very cool, smooth & loveable.

For the first time, I was really alone that day. I was in the Hotel with my relatives (who were busy doing nothing major :-)), Actually I was waiting for my college gang & some other friends.
Everybody was late, I had to call them couple of times to find out where exactly they were. As always the answer (that I usually give) was 5 mins. The worst thing was when they came they said 'HI' to me & sat in a corner giggling & chatting (which I usually am a part of).

Then Nithya was in the stage for a while (they were doing some comedies) & then I was on. Then, it was pure fun.

Rang De Basanti

It's been quite some time since I saw a real good movie, a very long time since I saw a good movie which also happened to be a blockbuster. RDB is one of those rare movies which gets the message through to the audience in a real smooth way & also collects $$$ happily.

RDB is about a group of "Happy go Lucky" guys, who just don't wanna be out of the college life & their transformation in to a more matured individuals. Amir Khan as DJ sizzles, Siddharth (BOYS) is pretty cool & everyone in the movie is too good. Madhavan in his cameo stands right before our eyes, we see few people around us in today's world like him.

Think of a very happy day in your life & out of the blue things start going wrong (just not wrong but to the worse). This happens to all of us at some point of time. This is what RDB is all about.

Sue's (Alice Patten) grand-pa was a British Jailer in India & he happens to see the Indian youth fighting for freedom. In a way this old guy revered these revolutionaries & keeps writing about them in his good old diary. Sue reads through his memoir's & his very keen in making a documentary about Chandrasekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Ashfakulla Khan, Ramprasad Bismil & Durga Bhabi.

I have never heard about the last 3 people. Amir & his friends decide to act in this documentary for the sake of Sue (she kinda becomes a friend & Amir's Love interest). But they struggle to see y anyone would die for anything. Madhavan is another friend who also is an IAF Pilot, when he dies in a crash due to some junk spares put in the MIG flight. The politicians conveniently say that our Maddy is gud enuf to pilot a bi-cycle & giving a MIG to him was too big a mistake.

After a few scenes which would happen "if we were in cross-swords with politicians", they realise that they should justify Madhavan's death. They plan & execute the Defence Minister successfully. When that stupid DM is made a martyr they get pi$$ed off & want to make people know the truth.I'll leave the climax out of here but it was real touching & a really good movie.

Amir Khan excels as Azad & in the scene where he wonders why everything is going bad for them (All of us would have been in similar situations). Siddharth is too good & composed till the very end. The last scene where Amir confides to siddharth about his love for sue, among other things is a pretty good scene as well.

The songs r too gud (A.R.R, ofcourse) & the way the songs blend with the movie is very refreshing.

This has become one of my favourite movies, infact I would say it's really as good as swades.
We drove 200 miles to see this movie & it was worth every single mile. :-)

Time gone by....

Time flies, infact pretty fast.... It's close to a year since my last blog. I just hope to make up for the lost time. There have been lots of changes around me over this time.

Y'day I went to Atlanta with some of my friends visited the Hindu temple there & watched RANG DE BASANTI. I think it was a great movie & deserves a separate post.
